our RSS feeds

What are RSS feeds?

You need to install an RSS reader on your computer to be able to read RSS feeds. Or you could use a web-based version (Google).

Once you have an RSS reader you can add links to interesting feeds. Your reader will check for you if there is news in your feeds. In our case that could mean that your reader alerts you when new computer books are available at the moment that our site is updated. So you don't have to search web sites, the RSS reader will bring your news home to you.

The best way to find out what RSS feeds are is to download a reader and experiment with it.

The following 5 feeds are updated daily:

1 - new titles

2 - new forthcoming titles

3 - new bargains and promotions

4 - new games only

5 - ALL daily feeds (= 1 + 2 + 3 + 4)
http://www.comcol.nl/newsfeed/ccalles.xml

If you use feed 5, you don't need the other four. This feed will generate about 12 headlines per day (a bit more during the last months of the year). All feeds can contain Dutch and English language items.

Where to get an RSS reader?

There is a big choice of readers, and there are many free programs. The BBC's website mentions a few. You could also search the web for 'free rss reader or aggregator'

Firefox and Safari (Mac) have a built-in RSS reader and the forthcoming Internet Explorer 7 will have one too.

This is how FeedReader 2.90 and RssReader 1.0.8 look on the screen.
